The legendary man-eating brothers Ghost and Darkness are nicknames given to these lions because of a movie with Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer. The real names are the Lions of Tsavo, where they went on to kill 140 people who worked on the railway along the Tsavo river. These legends did this in a span of 9 months until they were killed by the chief engineer who thought it was time to eliminate the danger. The reign of terror went on to put a delay on the railway because of all the deaths and fear the workers had. These were the one of the notorious man-eaters in our history of man-eaters dating back to the late 1800s. These lions were considered to be devil lions because lions don’t make it their full priority to kill men.
